Students at YWIS Rizhao got into a festive mood with the different decorations, including red lanterns and couplets around the school building as the Chinese New Year drew closer. They also learnt about the Chinese New Year during class.
The Lower Primary students painted "Fu" using various colours of spring and adding the joy of the New Year to the campus.
The Upper Primary students made sugar-coated haws, a traditional Chinese food, and shared the sweetness and joy with their teachers and families during the Chinese lessons.
ECE children and their parents made dumplings together. Families from different countries prepared theirs with their own fillings and wrapped them in different shapes. It turned out that a simple dumpling could come in such variety of flavours and shapes!
Let’s sample the taste of New Year here together! Wishing you and your family a prosperous Year of the Tiger!
