Leaves are UNIQUE, and like leaves, everyone is different. Respect the difference, and be your best self.
Recently we celebrated our last Character Trait “Diversity” for the 2016/2017 school year. Since the beginning of June, the students have been encouraged to increase their knowledge of their diversity and that of the world. Our aim is to prepare them to adapt to a multicultural environment and to be future global ambassadors.
Before the assembly started on June 27, we had a Parents Afternoon Tea to celebrate the end of another school year. It was a good opportunity for parents and teachers to meet informally and to have a chat and a cup of tea in a relaxing environment.
Thanks to Lower Primary students for their contributions: a fantastic performance of Thousand-hand Bodhisattva and an English song about colours. The teachers gave the students an opportunity to take ownership of the song and they chose to dress in their colours.
Finally, we acknowledged the support of the swimming coach and the violin teacher. Then we bid farewell to the students and teachers who will leave us and return to their home country. We are confident that they will take many fond memories of YWIS with them. In August, we will welcome new students and teachers to YWIS Rizhao. I am sure they will continue to make positive contributions to our school!
