Look around you.
Appreciate what you have.
Nothing will be the same.
Appreciation was our character trait for May 2017. The Lower Primary students made an Appreciation Tree in the lobby and every morning they wrote on a paper leaf the tiny things or people that they appreciate. The students put their leaves on the tree and the little Appreciation Tree grew to a big tree with many leaves.
During the Character Trait Assembly on May 26, 2017, the Lower Primary students performed three role plays about appreciation, while the Upper Primary students sang a short song “Thanks” to their parents.
Finally, all students enthusiastically participated in a short play The Emperor's New Clothes. All of the speaking parts were in Chinese. This was a wonderful feat considering that the student’s Chinese language skills ranged from beginners to higher levels. Thanks to our hard-working teachers who took the time and energy to prepare the students for our end of May assembly.
