“If you can give your son or daughter only one gift, let it be enthusiasm.”
“Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with all your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic and faithful, and you will accomplish your object. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Enthusiasm plays an important role in a person becoming successful in life. Yew Wah International School of Rizhao explored this character trait during February. The students were encouraged to share their thoughts about enthusiasm and focus on how to treat their study and life with great enthusiasm at school.
At the Character Trait Assembly on February 24, 2017, the Lower Primary students performed a wonderful gymnastics display learnt in their PE class. The parents were surprised by the student’s confidence, competency and the difficult movements they were able to perform. The student’s enthusiasm for the activity was evident in their big smiles.
Lower and Upper Primary students performed a song “Enthusiastic Desert” and an improvised dance respectively. The parents enthusiastically joined in and showed their appreciation by clapping their hands to match the beat.
