This is the harvest time! Our students at YWIS Rizhao have been busy harvesting fruit and vegetables from their green house. Since early spring, students have been studying plants and plant growth. With teachers’ guidance, students planted a variety of vegetables--radish, lettuce, beans, pumpkins and sunflowers.
Strawberries were planted in the front garden outside the Principal’s office. Students were responsible for watering and weeding the plant beds throughout the school week. At YWIS Rizhao, we believe that developing a closeness to nature can enhance students’ power of imagination, creativity, and observation.
